I sent off the log book and MOT to Bluecycle, who deal with the salvage side of things for Aviva (they own Charles Trent and Douglas Valley breakers). That was LAST bank holiday.
So in the meantime, Chief, who own the hire car are ringing up giving me grief cos they want the mondeo back (and quite rightly so, the tyres are shot

So I contact Aviva, who tell me "no we are not sending out a cheque, because we have received notification from DVLA that you don't own the vehicle"
WHAT!!!!!
So I argue with them, then ring Bluecycle for them to transfer the documents over to aviva online. Bluecycle tell me they never received the documents

So I go through my paperwork to find the MOT date to get a copy, then ring DVLA about a replacement V5.
DVLA are very shitty because, as it turns out, Bluecycle acting on Aviva's behalf SCRAPPED my car 3 WEEKS AGO!!!!
You can imagine what the conversation to Aviva went like after that - I went merry hell at both bluecycle and Aviva, demanding to know IF they hadn't received my documents what gave them the authorisation to scrap my car when it clearly didn't belong to them!!!!
They then admitted they had the docs and the woman said as it was Friday afternoon she couldn't do anything but would BACS the amount into the account first thing Monday and that it would take 3-4 days to clear. I know BACS doesn't bloody work like that, it's immediate but I kept checking the account - no money.
Chief rang Weds and asked what the hell was going on, explained about the stupid woman at Aviva and they rang her and then rang us back.
The guy at Chief said "Oh yes, just spoke to her, she's just put in your £1350, it should clear tomorrow".
Um excuse me, £1350?????
I was told I would have to claim back the policy excess.
So it kicked off again and it was explained to them that it was a non fault accident AND as they'd messed me around they'd told me they had waived the policy excess and would be paying the full amount to me.
The missing money was finally BACS'ed in but you know I'm taking the lying swines to the financial ombudsman.
Aviva are t*ssers
