Whats wrong with the arms - if you get decent blades, they are good!

If the paint is chipping off - sand, primer and paint! :D

they get stiff and can't maintain enough pressure on flat blades at times. Arms designed to be used with flat blades also look a lot better :)
<steve_earwig> I think this forum is more about keeping our cars going with minimal outlay than giving our cars more reason to go bang

Yeah that's what I've got at the moment too Joel, but the wife's fucus has the proper flat ones and me wants, the driver's one would tuck right under the bonnet edge too so you'd hardly see it at all from the front 8)

*BUMP*

Right, so most of the paint is missing from my wiper arms and I've been thinking about painting them. Some questions, if'n you please: best way to strip the old paint without damaging the galvanic coating (I presume they're galvanised like the body)? Also what's the best primers/paints/finish to use? Her indoors bought me an electric spray gun thingy for Crimbo, or would I just be better off with spray cans for this small job?

Cheers me dears!

Spray cans I reckon

Would a 2005+ citroen C5 aero wiper arms not go directly on the 406?

I know what you mean Dai about hidden wiper blades. I think it looks really plush with them tucked away! ala 607, 407

I think we debunked the galvanised body long ago, it's just some form of paint.

Spray cans, if this electric spray gun is like mine you'd have to mask the entire car

Well I was assuming I'd have to take the arms off TBH, in order to get at all sides of them. Maybe I'll toddle down to Halfrauds later and see what we can see...

You'll need a puller to get the arms off.

Tapered, there's nothing to lever them against except the screen which will break.
