Welly pulls a bird with his Volvo.....

.....Yeah, this bird, stuck right on my intercooler

And when I fished it out with a stick...

Think I remember a bird flying in front of the car last Sunday morning (and wondered where it went) so it was hardly 'fresh' when I noticed it last night Image

I know, it wasn't nice to see and fishing it out with two kinda 'chop sticks' was a bit minging tbh.

I'm guessing that it is (was) a British Common Chaffinch......

Classic !!! :P :P :P

Well looking at the bird it didn't die due to the impact ( volvo drivers dont travel fast enough for that to happen )
seems more likely it died through lack of food , dehydration and of course old age :cheesy: :cheesy:

<steve_earwig> I think this forum is more about keeping our cars going with minimal outlay than giving our cars more reason to go bang

a seagull crashed into the windscreen of my old Astra when i was doing 60 (ish, officer) along the coast road to South Shields. Smashed the windscreen, and left an excellent explosion of blood all over the roof and windscreen. luckily it was the passenger side so i was able to recover and pull up pretty quickly with no danger.

i called the police and asked them what to do (i was only 18) and they told me to just "take it to a bin"

so naturally, i scraped it onto the floor and left it there
