low brake fluid low warning when handbrake goes on

on my d9 sri estate, sometimes the brake fluid low level waring light comes on when i put the handbrake on.

i have checked the fluid and its fine though. any suggestions?

Common fault , its a little switch at the back of the handbrake ,
cheap to fix but you have to take the consul out .

Anyhoo, just work the handbrake up and down like an idiot for a minute and it'll clear the fault for a good while. You can dig deep into the interior and replace the little micro switch but my 'fix' worked for me.

I've got the same problem on mine, usually accompanied by the handbrake warning light on the dash flashing on & off with each low brake fluid beep. Unfortunately the handbrake yanking method didn't work for me.

Does anybody know the part number or part name for this little micro switch as I fancy having a go at changing it this weekend, but not too keen on dismantling the centre console & then having to wait a few days for the part to come in?
