A little undecided still, but even "if" I wanted to vote tory, I can't do it, as our local MP has been banned from the House of Commons, yet he's still up for re-election.
How the feck are you supposed to vote for someone to represent you in parliament when he's banned from the place???

My principles say I have to vote for someone, but I can't in good conscience help any of these muppets in to government...

Also I like the local Labour candidate but would feel physically sick if I voted for a Labour government.

So I'm confused >.<

when i was 15 because i wanted to work and relieve the financial burden on my parents . Since the day i
reached 18 i have voted at every local and national election , i have been a shopsteward a works convenor also been a
Labour party member briefly a communist party member also briefly a far right member , the latter 2 so
that i could gain some understanding of where they were coming from.
Fair play to you. I never used to have an interest in politics, to coin Sting's phrase "they're all like game show hosts to me". A friend at university was reading for a Politics degree and piqued my interest, and as I entered adulthood I started taking more notice of things like policies, taxes, up to the recent expenses and "Iris" scandals.
The whole issue around immigration etc. seems to have been swept under the carpet for fear of appearing "racist" - see Brown's "bigot" rant as an example. Communities, especially in high unemployment areas, are doing the tribal thing and blaming "those ones".

The EU is a free migration zone, just as people from the UK are free to set up dodgy bars in the south of Spain, or buy huge farmhouses in central France.
Yes true as regards a free migration zone , but i dont hear news reports of gangs of Britsh migrants gathering in shopping
centres or public places and threatning the locals or commiting petty crimes in eastern european countries neither do i
hear of them living off state handouts in those countries as is happening here .
I've seen reports of stag parties wrecking the place in Eastern European / Mediterranean destinations.
Can't say I've heard of ex-pat Brits committing petty crimes though.
The UK might benefit from an Australia-style points system, but it may be against EU law.
Thanks to soviet nuLabour
Not true , New Labour has more in common with the tories than any Soviet regime , you only have to look at the way
most people live today in the old satellite states of the U.S.S.R to realize that there standard of living is still way below
that of ours. It should be remembered that the USSR was supposedly a communist society when it was in fact a Totalitarian
state with no free elections .
I was referring to the big-brother tendencies of nuLabour. Their particular fondness of ID cards, DNA databases, "road pricing" black boxes in our cars, curbing our freedom by taxing the hell out of driving, airlines and no regulating of privatised "public" transport prices.

I would suggest that the standard of living of some people living like prisoners in their own homes in sink estates while gangs of feral youths run riot may be not as high as former USSR states...
And dont forget we are now experiencing the legacy of 18 yrs of Thatcherism , an era that coined the phrase "latch key Kids "
because money became god and both parents were encouraged to go to work to earn more and more and sod the children
or anyone else for that matter , a nation based on greed .
Labour haven't helped matters either by encouraging the upward spiralling of house prices, therefore both parents must work just to pay the mortgage (or even the loan for the mortgage deposit!).
Will i vote Labour ? Dont know , i dislike Gordon Brown for the way he handled the banks after the worldwide financial
crisis they caused.
I didn't trust him after he sold the gold reserve off for scrap prices.
To hell with manufacturing jobs, lets bail out our banking buddies.
Conservatives ? I was told years ago that you have to be already wealthy to benefit from Tory rule , well i aint so thats ruled them
out.

Lib-Dem , I used to be undecicive but now i'm not so sure , sort of sums them up .

off me soap box now and awaiting to shot to pieces :?

Just heard on the radio that a UKIP MP was slightly injured yesterday when his Party's banner got caught in the rudder thing on the tail of a light aircraft forcing it to nose-dive

Saw a video on the BBC page showing a BNP candidate actually fighting with some angry young Asian men (I don't know what was said as I'm not allowed to put the sound on).

Bloody racist a**holes. And their leaflet through my door had the audacity to have Nick Griffin's picture right next to Winston Churchill's... :x  <obscenities deleted>

You're wrong stevie, the "Can't be Arsed" party is just inching ahead, it's an exiting time....

Sums it all really..... :|

Actually the Can't be arsed party would probably do well........

"shall we let some more imigrants in this week to sponge off the state?" - no, we can't be arsed.

"shall we increase taxes like we said?" - no, we can't be arsed.
