Does that mean you can't blip the revs on downshifts with HDIs?

How do you tow/carry heavy loads or do steep uphill starts if you can't get some power while slipping the clutch? :shock:

You can still accelerate and slip the clutch in.
It seems to be more of an idling fuel control.

Accelerating away gently through 1500-1800 was a different story though for some reason, I think it was thinking the clutch was still depressed and was limiting the fuel intake.
