Mine joined the knackered fuel flap club today. Heard a crunch & something fall when I closed the flap after filling, so had to wedge the lever in the car up to open the flap. Only thing is though, I can't see anything broken in there. Has anybody got a fully working fuel flap that they could share a picture of so that I can compare to mine? Tried the clothes peg spring fix, but as soon as I tighten the torx screws it just pings back out.

that looks like the same as mine i wonder if itsthe lever in the car, also the cable can strech

Top man, I'll be most grateful.

Definitely not a cable stretch issue. With the lever wedged up, the little nipple that sticks out to close the flap goes all the way in still. Something broke in there, but I don't know what. As soon as I heard the crunch when I closed the door I went to open it again & it wouldn't spring open, but once it was open I couldn't see any broken edges or bits anywhere. Just had a look over on the Coupe club & there's a few pics on there showing the broken plastic bit in the middle of the hinge, but mine looks fine. They seem to have a few different solutions on there too.
