Foggy Fog Light Fixed

Been to a few auctions my self,
strangely not seen one 406 go thru, plenty of mondeos etc veccys,.
seems the 406 gets snapped up for the taxi trade,
Even the Scrapyards are struggling to keep a regular supply of parts in for them,
Maybe one day the Taxi lads will find something a little more reliable and ease off wrecking them

had alook at a 406 estate on a car pitch the other day, one quick look and iwalked away,
Ex taxi, Mileage had a hair cut too.

thats a problem with my local scrap yard no 406s right now it would be much handier just taking what you need paying a reasonable price than the mad prices and long wait on ebay.
the other day i asked a seller on ebay breaking an 03 406 how much for the gearknob as mines worn looking they wanted £20 which is just madness for a secondhand part like that if it was the scrapyard it would be £5 for it and a handful of other trim bits

Thats if the ebay seller even bothers their arse to reply.

I've sent emails to sellers breaking Accord Coupes and never got a response, just went to the Honda dealer (£8 for a side repeater), and they've (the ebay seller) then later gotten back to me with a one liner:

I ask:
"Do you have a left hand passsenger / nearside amber repeater with the lens intact? If so, how much would it be and postage to Belfast BT8?"
To which they reply:
"yea got part"

peugeot always wants you to call them, its as if they dont want to use email, i dont want to call them because they wont hear you right and they will order you a headlining for a coupe when you want a belt for a saloon. Ebay sellers who dont reply should get some form of feedback on their response, because thats the part about how well the seller communicated.

But i set about the other fog light today, took the wheelarch liner off easy enough, although one of them wires clipped onto the side i went to unclip it and it appears to be just cut, i dont know what its for though, should i try and fix it?
Anyhow with the liner off unlike the other side where theres some piece of plastic this side has the washer bottle in the way, to get that off you need to unplug the 2 motors, then theres one bolt at the front which requires the headlight to come out:

it falls out quite easy, just some rubber mount on the inside so you pull the bottle to the bumper and it should come out. Ive solved the problem about the awful smell when the washers are used, the water inside was all stale, the walls were lined in yucky sh*t, so i bleached it and let it steep in boiling water while i went about the job on the fog light.

definatley worth fixing nothing worse than misty lights, and the smell has gone also
