Agreed with the components for the fronts. That said, as the factory feed to door and dash speakers goes via cross-overs somewhere in the dash, the tweeters on a 3-way speaker would probably not be as active as usual (and not kill your ears).
I would recommend Dynamat on at least the inside door panel. I've actually got Dynamat on the outside door panel, inside door panel, and I've also put a bit of expanding foam between the door card and the inside panel and also some draught excluder strip between the edge of the door card and the door panel. It all helps.
Still got some weird rattle coming from the passenger side door and I am not able to eliminate it. Still, the way to avoid it is to slightly turn the volume down
mine doesnt even have a jBL amp in. just standard speakers on the head unit.
the way i use to get rid of a rattle is turn it UP UP UP. it definately got rid of any rattles . but not good on the ears.
i miss the loudness of my old setup but definately not good on my kids ears

crossover in the door
the correct place for crossovers is up behind the glovebox INSIDE the car . water goes in the door
work the cables then from the crossover .
you need to get them out the door ASAP before water kills them whoever told you to put them there
got a set of speakers, 2 Rear dvd headrests, plus headunit with blue tooth streaming,
all well under £300
just got to find a small but powerful amp now,
