I think you can take that as a "yes" 
The spare on the Toytractor has never been on the road. It's a full size rim too, so the tyre is 8 years old & worthless
You'll never know if you did the right thing Welters, it might have gone on to live a long happy life. Or it might have blown out on the motorway next week...

Good point about the spare steve, here's me keeping it all nice and 'new' but it might have 'gone off'
