I must admit they scare the hell out of me after the guys here has a Transit drop off one (arm wasn't locked, manufacturing defect)

Now that would be useful to have a pair of sills just incase.
I wonder would it be possible to go over to france or italy, cut the sills out of a car there and bring them home (obviously combine it into a holiday, its a bit pointless going all that distance for sills), do cars really rust less in the milder climate than they do here?

over here it's not so much the weather nut the amount of salt we put down in the winter ,bloody stuff gets everywhere.

Just bought some brand new sill strips from Peugeot - they work out cheaper than second hand and come with the clips already fitted. Mine were £40 for both but I got a good discount so maybe saved a tenner?

Well, I can't believe how much noise the sill strips actually kept out of the car, it makes quite a difference
