Replacement brake discs

Hi I just bought a set of rear Discs and Pads for my D9. I went for ATE discs and TEXTAR pads. I have been doing some research and I think these are the originals. I got this info from a Pug info CD:

I managed to get the ATE discs from Eurocarparts and I got the Textar pads from GSF parts

Everything cost me £64 for pads and discs. I'm planning to put them in sometime this week. I'll take some pics when I do for further reference.

[Edit] - I also bought some Textar handbrake shoes from GSF for £31

So everything cost £95.. I just hope they will last a good while before they need replacing again.

Here's a useful hint I worked out for the EPG: look up the diagram you want using the shitty menu, get the page code (ie D9G 42E01A in the pic above, you can also work it out from the menu), then in explorer find out HTDOCS\DESSINS\D9G\IB42E01A.TIF on the CD which should open in Windows Picture Viewer looking a hell of a lot nicer and clearer than the EPG's rendering

you might want to buy a set of handbrake shoes as they have a habit of breaking up when you remove the discs

and make sure you run the hand brake adjusters in before taking the discs off, makes it a lot easier.

Ok thanks guys, I just hope that the weather isn't too bad over the weekend. I'll surely pick up some handbrake shoes tomorrow.

I got the rear discs, pads and handbrake shoes in. It wasn't as hard as I thought it would be. I've done a simular job on a Vectra some time back in 06. I suppose the hardest thing was getting the old disc to come off.

The parts I used fitted nice and snug without any problems, so they are definately recommended. The rear right passenger side was quite worn out:

I really should have got some sandpaper and rubbed down the calipers. Then painted them, but I couldn't be bothered in the cold. I just hope the new discs and pads last a few thousand miles now..
