Do the condensing dryer drains just go into a standard fitting on the trap for the sink unit like a wshing machine or a dishwasher?

Our dryer has just packed up (I blame you Welly, you jinxed me!) and it's not worth repairing.

So whats the difference between a condensing and a heat pump dryer?

I think heat pumps try to scavenge the heat back before it heads off down the drain. Maybe you should look it up, when I was looking they were even more expensive so I didn't bother.

I dunno, in the end it's just more to go wrong.

Ours functions in exactly the same manner as the video and the drain kit that came with ours is small enough that it would fit into the same drain pipe as the washer at the same time so no requirement for extra plumbing.
