Given what's recently been done by the consumer of your last quiche... maybe not such a bad idea?supafrisk wrote:I mean, would you really REALLY want to eat a quiche when the rolling pin used to make it had been used for a different kind of rolling?![]()

Something is definitely not right? Or maybe it is and I'm a wimp![]()
For starters, this sleeping thing isn't getting any better, it is taking me hours to go off to sleep. I can't sleep on the left side 'cos it's broke. I can't sleep on the right without pain 'cos it feels like part of my bone is trying to stab me in the neck. Also the skin and muscle between my neck and shoulder feels "tight" like it's being stretched, which also feels uncomfortable. If I lie on my back, I get a stabbing pain in the back of my neck. Don't even ask about lying on my front - it's a physical impossibility![]()
As well as this, I can't raise my left hand up in the air without stabbing pains, not in my collar bone, but in my shoulder and bicep![]()
Yesterday I was baking in the kitchen for hours and after dinnertime started getting stabbing pains in my chest and back which feel like a pulled or torn muscle.
I was told by the Dr. who checked me over that the pain would be severe for the first 10 days, then as the bone started to get "sticky" and knit there would be a very noticeable drop in pain - if anything the pain wasn't as bad when it was first broken![]()
Is what I'm feeling "normal" or should I be concerned?
I've already been back down A+E last week and they weren't interested but I would at least like to have one day's decent sleep
I know a few people who have had broken collarbones, and there's was never right, some even had surgery a year or 2 later to fix it. I broke my collarbone 2 years ago, and I inisisted on having an op done properly with plates and screws. I had pain for a few weeks, but I was driving 4 days after the op, mine was the left collarbone, 4 days after the op I could move it enough to grab gear lever and change gears. Maybe go back to Hospital and ask for more xrays to make sure its going together properly. The tightness is quite normal and will wear off over time. Use some skin creme will help. Even 2 years on I still get pain at times, it will never be perfect again, collarbones never are after being broken.supafrisk wrote:It's been over 2 and a half weeks since I broke my collarbone and it's really starting to become a bone of contention![]()
