I got no issues, but can't see the point. I mean, if it's old and ratty anyway but you're managing to keep it going on the cheap, then all well and good. however, some of the modern cars and bikes are very contrived with expensive paint jobs simulating rust and fading, or extensive rubbing down to encourage rusting and then sealing with special waxes and compounds to hold it just-so. That's a lot of effort and expense, and in many cases has to be more than the cost of a proper paint job.
