I hadn't had the wheels off or looked at anything since I got it.
I was quite surprised to find that the front suspension has gone back to Macpherson struts and conventional ball joints/lower wishbones....the rear suspension has struts as well with wishbones at the top and trailing arms at the bottom.....completely different from the 407.
The dealer I bought it from said they had serviced the car, but they hadn't!! The wheels were all seized on...I had to lever them off.
The cabin filter was full of leaves and very dirty...easy to fit...the filter has a flap covering it that just clips off after the side of the centre console has been removed...one torx screw holding it on.
The fuel filter is on top of the engine in an aluminium block...4 torx screws holding the top in place...one pipe to remove...bleeding is via a hand pump....just a few pumps holding a finger over the outlet pipe until diesel comes out...30 seconds to bleed

Oil filter is the same as the 407... a paper element inside a metal housing with a plastic top which unscrews using a 27mm spanner...the filter housing is hidden under another housing, but you can pull the filter out without removing anything.the oil drain plug is similar to the 407 1.6/Volvo drain plug...steel sump, not aluminium.
There is a bolted on engine cover underneath...easy to remove and fit.
Brakes are the same as the Mondeo all round!
I really like how the car has been put together...I have to say that the car is very similar to the newer Mondeo...some parts have Peugeot/Citroen/FoMoCo stamped on them!
The gearbox looks much easier to remove than the 407 one...the driveshafts are different as well...those 2 silly bolts on the right hand shaft have gone replaced with bolts that go in from the driver's side and easy to get at.
