I had Kellogg's Crunchy Nut Cornflakes for my breakfast this morning.
That is all.

Not a 'Crunchy Nut' myself, but I would still suggest you might find it more agreeable with milk.Welly wrote:I had Kellogg's Crunchy Nut Cornflakes for my breakfast this morning.

Not orange juice?
I never eat breakfast, I know this is bad but I just can't eat anything before lunch.
Tim (Oilman) makes an interesting point, oil is about the only thing where we have to believe what's written on the packaging because, without access to a good test laboratory, there's no other way of telling the difference.
Sugar, sugar and yet more sugarIngredients: Maize, Brown Sugar (Sugar, Molasses), Peanuts (7%), Sugar, Honey (2%), Barley Malt Flavouring, Salt, Glucose-fructose Syrup, Niacin, Iron, Vitamin B6, Riboflavin (B2), Thiamin (B1), Folic Acid, Vitamin B12.

Lets face it, none of us really know what's in anything I would agree though that oils are all different for various reasons.
Coming back the CNK's I enjoy* them because they give me little extra nuts to pick from my teeth on the way to work

Judging by the amount of sugar in them you'll not be doing that forever.Welly wrote:teeth
You can't get 'em here, it's just generic cornflakes, some with sugar, some without, but all taste like plasticine (before anyone points out the discrepancy between my cereal intake and my dislike of breakfasts, you don't have to eat them in the morning). Recently I found Special K and Shredded Wheat in a shop in Karlovac so I bought a big box of the Special K. 3 bowls later and they were all gone

Kellogg's don't care if you put Nestle cereal into the Kellogg's box once it's empty...steve_earwig wrote:3 bowls later and they were all goneI think they must be watching the printer manufacturers.

Re: Oil Filters - Genuine Vs Aftermarket
I have been using those crossland things for years and i genuinely thought they were ok, well at least the packaging looked ok. I actually got a crossland oil filter a few days ago for oil change tomorrow. Should I go ahead with it? Have done about 200k over 13 years with these and no engine problem. I agree you never know what you are getting with filters but I would always use top quality oil.lozz wrote:Ithink the reason why people go for ' Oem filters is because of all the horror stories they see
On the www.
I'wouid just avoid Whitebox trash and them 'crossland branded things.

Re: crossland filters.
Not sure on diesel..oil filters.
But I've cut a oil filter open for a petrol car and it was pathetic.
There is some videos on YouTube that are worth alook at.
I've priced up some filters off the oilman and they're working out just as cheap as what the 'white box trash is on eBay.
Its not really worth skimping on oil filters... Air filters and pollen filters it don't matter.
* this is just my personal opinion.

Re: Oil Filters - Genuine Vs Aftermarket
I agree with you 100%, i would never skimp on the important parts like the oil filters and oil. It’s just the bloody factors seem to have nothing else and I thought they the filters were fine. What was gone wrong with the filter inside when you split it. I might try elsewhere tomorrow before I do the oil change on the new 2001 Executive 110 HD. An recommendation on the oil filter.
Re: Oil Filters - Genuine Vs Aftermarket
The material on the media was thin,
no where near as many pleats...or as long in length of the old filter itook out,
there is a bypass valve inside oil filters, once the media is clogged everything just get pumped back round the engine,

Well how about this then. I bought some top mounts from Euro Car Parts for the Astra. Unbranded parts just described as "aftermarket top mount with bearing".
Look what turned up...

Maybe theyve bought a job lot ..from a main..agent that's closed down or
They've needed the shelf for something else.
I'd guess you've saved a few ££s .

Re: Oil Filters - Genuine Vs Aftermarket
Strangely, with Borg and Beck labelled stuff you most often get genuine quality stuff in the box such as Valeo.
I've had many instances of main dealer stuff being cheaper than after market where the after market part has been the same make in the box...and vice versa of course!
