Re: HOW MANY MILES HAS YOUR PUG COVERED?
Hi All
Quick update after a blast to Scotland and Back over the bank holiday, fully loaded.
1,295 miles various driving conditions on all roads - 38.2 mpg according to the Trip Computer, just did a quick reccy' and and the actual is probably nearer 40mpg...... so not far away from Peugeot's numbers?
Average speed 56mph so not hanging about either.
Only a minimal top up of oil (but that was expected on a 95k Motor) and no water use - hugely impressive given the superb handling I am get from the GTX and very comfortable too.
Came back from Edinburgh via the A66 and A68 to Darlington - great road - then the A1M.
MAGNIFICENT CAR
(Only wish is a 6th Gear - at 80mph it's running at 3,5000 rpm - but very smooth and 38mpg - but would feel less strained on the HPi engine)

Mines just passed 222,222 a couple of days ago. Might have to give it a treat at 250,000. This is by far the highest mileage of any car i've owned. And it's still a nice drive.

Re: HOW MANY MILES HAS YOUR PUG COVERED?
My car is reaching fast 120000 miles.
I've dealt with two Peugeot dealers while and after buying my 2.2HDi.
Both of them had NO interest in telling me my car had to be replaced or smilar things, but both of them told me that HDi engines usually crap out at less than 250000kms (150000 miles). Here I see many people with 120000 and beyond and not with huge problem, what's up here???
Both dealers have always been very kind and even did some things for free in the past, they are fine guys, I don't think they are trying to bulls**t me.

As long as the car is well-maintained and kept rust-free, you'll find it will last a long, long time.

That's what I've been saying them too, they keep saying the contrary. It'll be my pleasure to prove them wrong!highlander wrote:As long as the car is well-maintained and kept rust-free, you'll find it will last a long, long time.
PS: what are common rusty points apart from the internal of doors?

Don't know if it is especially common, but here is where I've found rust on my car:OdinEidolon wrote:That's what I've been saying them too, they keep saying the contrary. I've also got a small bit under the rear number plate around the screw hole. Only common place that I can think of is the underside at the front of the bonnet.
