Well, I asked on here:Image
and was surprised by the level of response.....

What colour would you like?
Any particular options?
2002 HDi 2.2 Exec Estate, (2008-12) (wonderful)
2003 HDi 2.2 6-speed Exec Estate (2012-19) (also a gem)
2009 Citroen C5 2.0 HDi VTR+ Estate (godawful heap)
2008 BMW E91 330i touring (great fun - murdered by a reversing SUV)
2007 BMW E91 325i touring (slower smoother quieter)

To be absolutely fair if they can get it started with its temperamental battery and get more than half a mile out of it without something breaking, falling off or burning out AND master the lack of synchro between 1st and 2nd AND dont mind filling it up with fuel, they can have the fecking thing.

Guess who's car shopping back in the UK over Xmas

it was 1994 so the year it was sold by British Aerospace to BMW, I cant blame the manufacturers really, its nearly 17 years old and is probably having the hardest time of its life here at the moment, its an old motor to be hammering as hard as i am at the moment, if i can find anything else for the right kind of money when im back in the uk i will buy it and drive it back, if not then i will spend some more money on this one and get it up to standard.

I dont mind getting the spanners out but i just dont have the time anymore, i shouldnt moan really i am grafting hard and soon i should be seeing some financial benefit for it, its the reason we moved out here what with the UK economy as bad as it is, to be having to turn down new contracts because im too busy is a nice place to be :) but add that too a car that needs constant attention whilst i need it to be reliable as a daily driver, is not a good equation.

For 4x4s the japanese are the ones to get for good reliability, you could probably get a good cheap toyota landcruiser, or a shogun
