Sounds like time to cut your losses and get rid. £900 for repairs is a lot of money, you fix a few problems and more come back at ya. Either sell the car or break it, put the money you get + the £900 it was gonna cost to fix and buy something else.

But that's just the problem, isn't it? Spend it on a car you know so it's hopefully ok for another year or spend it buying another car that you don't know, and then maybe spend another couple of hundred fixing it because you didn't spot something. Anyway, stuff like tyres and even that condenser can be transferred to a new car in the spring if necessary, unless Welton does something silly like buy another make.

Well certainly any other car of sub-£2000.00 will come with free hidden trouble - that's why it was for sale usually.

I'm sticking with it for now as it's otherwise a decent enough car might even treat it to some new boots on Saturday before Mr Plod sees my old Telly Sevalas impressions on the front
