Hi,
I have a r-reg 1.9DT 406. The heater fan seems to have packed in, and having lost my owners manual I can't quickly check if it's the fuse or not. It worked on and off for a day or so before seemingly giving up the ghost completely. The thermostatic control is working as you can feel heat dribbling out of the vents, and it changes when I turn the control. It has manual A/C, but I'm loathe to test that in this weather.
I tried googling for a fuse-box layout but can't currently download stuff.
Thanks for any help.
Heating fan issue.

Hiya Kev, welcome to the club.
Fairly common problem with connections burning out near the heater blower, it's up behind the glovebox somewhere.
Do a search using the search box at the top right of the page, there's loads of info on here about it

Cheers DaiRees, any idea which fuse it could be, though, it's the quickest thing to check and I won't be able to get a look at the blower motor til Thursday at the earliest.....

Yep - same problem with my bro's D8 - I got away with cleaning / squeezing the push on connectors to tighten them up a bit.
It's worked for about 3 months now...
You just need to drop the trim below/behind the glovebox to see what's what.

Nah sorry mate, I don't know the fuse number...
Anyone?

Anyone?
Re: Heating fan issue.
The blower motor's just behind the bottom of the glovebox. Stick your hand under the box, feel for the soundproofing, feel for something solid above the soundproofing, and try whacking it

Re: Heating fan issue.
I know it's one of the 50A fuses in the engine bay fuse box, as my heater has been intermittent, with the odd kick to the back of the glove box.
Did get underneath about 4 months ago and get a better fit on the connection and worked fine, then one day last month, it packed up totally, and when checking the connection, the connector fell apart, and the 2 wires fused together, and had to pull them apart dead quick, but still blew the fuse.
When went to stealers for the fuse, as not commonly stocked at motor factors in that size, they had 2, so bought both, as they said they don't normally carry them on the shelf.
