When my V6 reachs a temperature of just over 80 c, it cuts out., but if i put the heater on full and keep the temp down a bit, it's fine.
Was maybe thinking a problem with the themostat, but wouldn't think this would cause the car to cut out.
Any ideas?

D8 or D9?
Only thing I can think of that'd cause it is either a faulty crankshaft sensor or if it's a D8, the coil pack

<steve_earwig> I think this forum is more about keeping our cars going with minimal outlay than giving our cars more reason to go bang

Probably nothing to do with the cooling system, something's breaking down and doesn't like being hot. Might be worth experimenting by getting it hot and squirting various parts with that freezer spray stuff until it starts.
