Hey all,
I was wondering if I could get a little help with another make/model of a car?
My parents own a Mazda 626 (2.0 sei) which has since the day they bought it, ran flawlessly until yesterday.
My dad started it up and it sounded like a diesel. This car used to sing like an angel.
It almost sounded like a bearing was loose around the belts but it disappeared after a minute or two and sounded fine whilst driving. It then came to my attention that the car was also cutting out when coming to junctions/traffic lights.
All the fluids seem fine and when it's being driven, it's like it always is, quiet, very responsive etc.
Any idea's?
Cheers
Gav

Major problems with porous blocks on the 2 litre. Surprised it's lived this long.

Re: Mazda 626 issues?
what yearis it Gav and what's the milage? I'd have thought if the block was knackered it wouldn't be running rough then ok, it'd have similar symptoms to a head gasket failure. I'd be looking for dodgy connections, crap in the fuel, ignition problems etc.
Re: Mazda 626 issues?
Cheers for the replies everyone.
It's a v reg with about 80k (if that) on the clock.
Head gasket appears fine, no mayo in the oil and the water isn't going down.
I thought it was (firing on 3) but it appears the noise is coming from around the alternator.
Not sure, but I thought I'd see if anyone knew a simple reason?
Cheers again!
