Wheels

Post by LUX406 »

Righto, my front tyres will need replacing soonish and I thought why not get a set of alloys with tyres instead to freshen up my 406?

The ones I've been looking at are: 206 16in Nimrods, 406 coupe (the 6 spoke star ones) in either 15 or 16in and 306 15in Cyclones.

Just wondering whether anyone has run any of the above on their 406? I've heard that 206 wheels are a bit of a pain in the backside due to offsets.

I want to keep with Peugeot alloys to keep my 406 looking standard-ish if you catch my drift (I'm into my VWs aswell and still stuck in my OEM+ ways :cheesy: )

Any suggestions of nice looking Peugeot wheels I should check out are more than welcome folks!

Would 205 1.9 GTi wheels fit??? The wheel trims on my horrid steels remind me so much of these classic wheels, could be a cool look?

I'm using 15in alloys off of a 307. No spacers or other buggering about was needed, they just went straight on.

There's a photo of them on my Wiki page (see the link in my signature)
2002 (D9) Peugeot 406 Coupe SE, 2.2 litre Petrol. Scarlet Red/Rouge Ecarlate/Rosso Scarlatto. Black Leather interior. SOLD :(
2008 (E60 LCI) BMW 525i M-Sport, 3.0 litre Petrol. Carbonschwarz Metallic. Black Dakota Leather and Myrtlewood interior.

They look quite smart mate!

Was winning a set of 406 coupe wheels and tyres on flea-bay, right up until the last second...

Some s#*t house must've been using eSnipe, they went for a ridiculously cheap amount too
