Sping is sprung...

Post by steve_earwig »

...the grass is riz (I already mowed twice) and I know exactly where the birdies is - sitting on the washing line crapping on the clean laundry :frown:

This is all in a marked contrast to less than a month ago, when there was a foot of snow on the ground. I've just been out digging a flower bed. Well, I couldn't be asked to actually dig it, as such, so I've been running a motor hoe up and down it (think tiller with no wheels). Which was nice, apart from the few times the blades caught the wall and the whole lot ended up on its side :cheesy: Anyway, I'm wearing shorts and a t-shirt, it's about 20 degrees and I'm all sweaty. Hooray!!

I hear you brother :cheesy:

almost the same story here in sunny Poland 8) ,
when i arrived on the 19th of march the weather was -5 and still snowing, to the point of me thinking i would need to invest in some of those there "winter tyres" that they insist on you fitting to your motor during the winter months out here,

but now its like an early summer day in England, today was a little overcast at 17 degrees but in the last week its been up to 23c and i too am in the regulation summer wear of the brits, i am getting funny looks from the locals though as they stride past still wrapped up like its the dead of winter,

Heres to sunny summer :D

Don't you worry, it'll soon be too hot to breathe (I hear it gets even hotter where you are  ) I've had 6 years of them looking at me like I'm mad. In fact, I'm a foreigner, so everything I do is strange, so I take that as an excuse to behave as strangely as I like :cheesy: Akchewally I have them all completely confused because I don't like football, tea, beer or Mr. Bean, I don't own a bowler hat and I think HRH Queen Elizabeth II is some German woman who I'd quite happily watch being fed to the lions

Long may it continue! Not a cloud in the sky this morning, I've got my best mate coming round later and we're going to work on the bikes and drain a few beers. I've even had the mad thought of firing up the bbq later! :cheesy:

I wasn't going to mention that, I didn't know how you'd feel about. I was a bit stunned when I saw the news yesterday, I bet the whole country is in total shock :(
