Parts wish list
Thinking about a trip to the scrap yard next weekend.
Does anyone have interior or exterior parts they need?
State the colour (if applicable) and D8 or D9.
Will see what I can do.
On the list:
Silver interior door handles (Set of 4) x2
Sunblind clips - the ones that slide in from the side
Wheel arch access panel (O/S Front)
Chrome dial rings

Re: Parts wish list
Would love some of the chromed interior door handles. Some white dials would be good too, if there are any (though I'd guess not).

Re: Parts wish list
I've defo seen white dials, for a later D9, multiplexed car.
They want £30 for a set of dials though. Not sure I can stretch to that.
Silver handles, seen those. Added to my list!

Re: Parts wish list
Hmm. Is it possible to replace just the dials, without actually replacing the instrumentation (the moving parts and electronic bits)? i.e. remove the white bits from the clocks and put them in place of the black bits in my existing clocks?
I have an early D9, so I doubt any of the white dials would be a straight swap.
If it is possible to put the white dial faces into my existing clocks (without a degree in astrophysics), I'd go for it - and of course, I'd pay you the full £30 for the white dials. I'd been expecting to pay you for the door handles anyway

We should call Bluey "big pockets bluey"
His trips to the scrappy are legendary
I think that he's secretly building his own hybrid invention; something kinda like a 406 coupe estate

RE: White dials.
Having had a set apart, the white bit is just a bit of semi opaque flexible plastic.
On the D8 and early D9s, there the dials simply lift out as one piece. The actuators, needles and faces, all attached to an acrylic board.
Non compatible I'm afraid (I know, I tried!)

Would you get slapped with import if I were to, say, send a wing mirror or badge to you?
