Can All D8 Owners do me a favour please?

Talk about the 406's electrical system, what wires do what, how to add extra functionality, etc.

Can All D8 Owners do me a favour please?

Post by Bailes1992 »

Can you all look at your speedo's and just above the mileage readout you will see a logo with a company name on it, e.g. Semiens, VDO, Jeager, Sagem etc etc
Can you tell me the year of your car, the model, the engine, what dials you have and what make is your speedo.

Thanks, Bailes :)

Does anyone have a blue digital mileage readout or has my cluster been fiddled with?

Mine does, but then I've fiddled with it ^_^

T'was orange by default, same as the clock illumination.

Turns out I just popped a bulb in the clock and thats blue too. So I think the cluster has been played with which is why the speedo was so out :)

nothing special, when I bought the car it was only fuel and temp gauges were working and mileage read nothing. Went to a place where they bring down used spares from Singapore and UK and bought this Jaeger cluster which was fitting right to my wire connectors. Only difference is Sagem had Kilometer speedo where as this is Miles in white and Kilometers in red (UK style). Works perfectly to the date after 2+ years. Maybe my guardian angel knows about autmobiles?
