They are stapled onto the bottom of the Laguna bumpers, so be careful when removing them as it's easy to slice a finger open. When refitting it to the 406 though, use self tapping screws and washers to hold it in place and prevent it from being ripped off too easily.

I've removed them by force using just my hands before, but I like to use a bit of leverage usually like a screwdriver.

I wonder if the neighbour would notice?
In my experience, most folks couldn't care less about their cars and wouldn't be able to tell you if they had a splitter or mot.

There were 3 in my local scrappy but the bloke wouldn't let me take one off claiming that someone who wants a bumper will want the whole thing. I then pointed out to him that one of the cars had a smashed up bumper but the splitter was intact, so he handed me a screwdriver and charged me a fiver

I get them for £8 a pop from my scrappy of choice, and yes all the ones I've removed have been in the (s)crapyard and not parked up on the side of the road or someones drtive.

Scrappers trip tomorrow anyway to hunt for a new clock. Last time they had squillions of Lagunas which, suprisingly, were bereft of their splitters.

The question is how does one sneak a splitter out of the yard without the staff noticing the suspicious bulges in your trousers?
