niggles 1996 1.9td

Hi all - got a 1996 exec td a couple of weeks ago and now finding all the issues i have with it - a few questions for you clever bods:

1. just noticed my radiator is held on with a shoelace - should there ba a bracket or summit?

2. The battery is now flat since I decided to replace all the dash bulbs - will this reset the mirrors and seat as i have been trying to set the memory for me but always defaults to what i bought it at

3. once battery back on is there a learning period?

4. is there an erg valve?

1. Yes! There are two lugs on the bottom of the rad that sit in rubber bushes, I can't remember how the top is fixed from memory!
2. Possibly, yes.
3. Nope, the ecu is very basic on the TD.
4. I'm not sure whether it's just the Hdi's that have an EGR or not to be honest!

My rad has 2 spring clips that you press and then move the rad, can't remember off the top of my head if they are on the top or on the sides at the top, I need a new rad so will find out if they come with them

thanks lads - checked the bulbs in the dash - last bugger had taken half out, put new ones in and saw the following;

EML Light goes out - good
Air bag goes out - good
car above a squiggly line - no idea what it is but it goes out - wonder if it's abs?
brake light stays on - naughty - one of the bulbs taken out

No bloody holders in the spots - wire broken and no holder in p/s sidelight and climate contro; doesn't kick in
