Immobiliser fault - symbol displayed 1st time I try to start

HI all

I'm having a problem with starting the car. for the last few weeks the car has generally failed to start on first attempt. Most times that it fails it shows the immobiliser key symbol on the dash, but always turns over. If I remove and re-insert the key it starts no bother.

I've searched and seen lots of suggestions, but just wanted to run by this scenario as I've not seen any in the searches that quite match it.
