Quick keyfob question

Talk about the 406's electrical system, what wires do what, how to add extra functionality, etc.

Quick keyfob question

Post by carbers911 »

Hi guys, just had to disconned the battery on our D9 2.2hdi to clear the FAP fault (thats now jetwashed clean!), only problem is on reconnecting power the remote locking is down.
Ive tried all of the reprogramming solutions on the site but none have worked thus far, so should I just do a BSI reset on it? Seems straightforward enough but Id rather not bugger up the elecrics that work in order to possibly get the remote back in sync!

Don't know if it'd work on a Pug, but my old 51 plate Citroen C5 2.2 did the same every time the battery was disconnected & I had to put the key in the ignition to position 1 or 2 (can't remember) & hold one of the buttons down for at least 5 seconds.

Nah man tried that plus every other variation on the theme.
Just tried the BSI reset as well and that didnt work either.
And yes before anyone asks, the fob battery is just fine. :|
