Why would aǹyone actually admit to that?

<steve_earwig> I think this forum is more about keeping our cars going with minimal outlay than giving our cars more reason to go bang

Re: Fuel Saving Magnets
Mythbusters did a comparison of fuel-saving devices.
Some of them were snake oil. Others were incredibly dangerous!
I seem to recall that magnets were in the former category; no effect noticed whatsoever.

Re: Fuel Saving Magnets
you could cut out the middle man and just cable tie a fiver round the fuel line.

Good one, i suppose even taking a fridge magnet and cable tieing it onto the fuel line would still have the same lack of effect. But out of interest how many other products is there like this that are absolute useless rubbish, i have seen a fan you put in the air intake which claims 5bhp more, and generally bigger air filters must be the same, because when someone takes off the whole air filter assembly it barely makes any difference so whats the point in spending £30 on an air filter

I think those retro fit electric "turbos" must take the biscuit.
Look at this, and yours for about £20! Increase mpg by 10 miles! bhp increase! FFS.

Re: Fuel Saving Magnets
"LOWER YOU GAS CONSUMPTION!"
I do not consume gas. My car runs on diesel, my house runs on oil.
What is "YOU GAS"? Is it like youtube?
"IT HELPS DETERMINE THE LONGEVITY OF AN ENGINE!"
I'm sure a lot of manufacturers, garages, fleet managers would pay a lot of money for a device to determine the longevity of an engine. Working in software testing I would like software to determine the longevity of a process..
"THE SINGLE PROPELLER SUCKS THE AIRFLOW INTO THE COMBUSTION CHAMBER AT A HIGHER SPEED RESULTING ATOMIZED BURNING: INCREASE HORSE POWER AND SAVE GASOLINE!"
Atomised burning can save horses, ay?
