98 406 back brake inbalance

Hi...have a perplexing problem with my 1998 406 1.9 td..failed mot twice due to back wheel brake inbalance, drum brakes, the right hand side back is not braking as well as the left side, have changed cylinder and pads adjusted the drum up tight but still cannot get it to function as well as the other side, hand brake ok....please would appreciate any help, due retest start of next month.
ps changed drums around but no help... :cry:

Sounds like there may be some air causing your problem, I suspect you have throughly bled the line to the new cylinder so it may be worth bleeding the opposite front just to make sure. While you are at it push the piston back into the caliper 1/2 an inch and check the caliper moves freely from side to side, ie, floats.
The faults are a real pig to sort without a rolling road thingy, good luck!
