Post by FarmerPug »

What is the fastest car you have ever been in, the one that give the biggest ever thrill to be in either to drive or as a passenger. Mine was a 1998 BMW 750i with a semi auto box i was a passenger and it was drove on a big lorry yard (that the driver owned) with entry road did big smokey start, tonnes of noise, and i couldnt move forward of the seats.

Passenger in a Toyota Supra Twin Turbo doing 160mph on a private road with plenty more to go, and felt very stable at that speed. Got a video of the speedo on one of my old phones somewhere.

Well I don't mean to brag, but...

(that is me in both photos)

The Ferrari 360 Modena is a murdering git. It tried to kill me. My big bloody foot got stuck under the brake pedal (meaning my foot was on the accelerator). Don't drive one if you have size 11 / size 12 feet (like me). 3.6 litre V8, producing 400 HP and 373 Nm. This was the fastest, most powerful car I'd ever driven. And then I got into the Lambo.

The Lamborghini Murcielago is a much more civilized beast - stick shift, with a clutch pedal - none of this flappy-paddle nonsense. 6.2 litre V12, producing 572 HP and 649 Nm of torque - has a top speed of 205 MPH. This remains the fastest, most powerful car I've ever driven - and is likely to remain that way.
2002 (D9) Peugeot 406 Coupe SE, 2.2 litre Petrol. Scarlet Red/Rouge Ecarlate/Rosso Scarlatto. Black Leather interior. SOLD :(
2008 (E60 LCI) BMW 525i M-Sport, 3.0 litre Petrol. Carbonschwarz Metallic. Black Dakota Leather and Myrtlewood interior.

Fastest car was a Porsche 911 Carrera Tiptronic - was extremely disappointed at the way the gearbox still changes up for you when you rev it hard too, but didn't do too much of a top speed in it.

Fastest I'd driven was just over 140mph (on the clock so more like 135 at best) in my old 306 S16.

Another addition i must add isnt exactly the fastest car but was the most exciting, a ford escort rally car with a honda s2000 engine in it, going about 100 round bumpy rally tracks, left the car with aches all over but it was great fun. And i sat in a lancia delta intergrale also in rally spec but never got a go in it.
Also been in a delorean which when your looking for speed is the best car not to give it.
