no washers

hi all hope someone can help over the last couple of weeks of cold weather my washers stopped working checked fuse and replaced but still no washers ? wipers work as normal on all settings inc auto.i rang the local dealers to see if there is a relay i could change before shelling out for some new stalks but they were no help only had colours and amps on screen ?? does anyone have any idea if there is a relay and where it can be found colour,amps etc,the car is a 2.0 hdi 110 2001.

Colours and amps? No idea what that's about. Your pump's probably frozen.

hi i have renewed the pump but cant find any info on a washer relay or location so it looks like a new stalk ouch!!!!

Fair enough. I don't think there's anything special on your 2001, not even a relay. I think I'd still check for voltage at the motor just in case you picked up a duff one.

can you not hear the pump when you press washers ?

no noise when pressing washers ? but indercators have been dodgy for a while and there on same unit i think ,i have ordered a new unit so hopefully it might fix it .

They shouldn't be on a 2001

Do your stalks look like this:

(Com2000 - all one very expensive bit)

its the comms2000 but if i had no bad luck i would have no luck at all lol,cheers joe.

it could be the first com2000 i got to replace mine didnt operate the squirter, ie not even the wipers moved when pulled back, if when you pull back the stalk back and the wipers move then its the pump

i have bought another pump and tested it it works fine so i still have no squirters but everything else works as it should apart from indercators which turn on to left after right turn .

Classic screwed com2000 I'm afraid There is a fiddle involving a piece of sponge viewtopic.php?f=5&t=11868&p=104964&hilit=sponge#p104957 - but with the squirters gone too your best bet is to replace.

I'm still amazed you have a 2001 car with com2000, kind of turns everything on its head. Any chance of your vin number?

That's kind of the unofficial model - D8 1996.199, D9 1999-2004, it's not what Peugeot call them, they're just 406 and 406 new.

Nope, early ones are just like the D8 (although I think the stalks are a little different)
