Wow that sounds such a good deal I think I'll send her the money straight away!

Or I could just buy 1500 lottery tickets. At least then I'd have 1500 bits of paper to wipe my ar*e with when I can't afford bog roll due to sending all my money to scam artists.

ok when i viewed it through my googlemail account the text did seem a bit too overformatted, but hey if i could get a test drive in the thing, the docs handed over, id buy it £1500 for a 407 is a bargain, but a bit fishy since id expect at least £2k for my 406 executive, which because of this weather is filthy.

I'm still waiting to see if anybody has noticed the big glaring fault of:
The transaction will be closed only through eBay vehicle purchase protection so we both be protected
Considering the ad is on Gumtree I would've thought that would have been a massive indication of a scam. This scam was most popular on Ebay a couple of years back, but they do seem to have reduced the amounts involved now due to people getting wise to it.

A couple of years ago it was BMW 535ds & Golf R32s all for about £6400. Now it's Mondeos & 407s for £1500, presumably because people are more willing to fall for a £1500 scam than a £6k one.

it gets better
Hello,

I have a contract with eBay so this deal must go through them. I'm very busy with my job and I'm left out of the country so I can't meet in person with you so this is the reason why I chose to sell my car over the internet. According to eBay you have 5 days from the time you receive the car to inspect it and decide if you want to keep it or not.
Here is how it will work:

1. First of all I will need the following details from you:

- Full Name
- Full Shipping Address

2. After I will receive the details from you, I will forward them to eBay.

3. After they will process your info, they will send us both invoices. The invoice will send you the details on how to make a refundable payment.

4.eBay will contact me and I will ship the car to you. After you receive the car you will have 5 days to test, verify and do whatever you need to the car. If you will buy, then I will receive the payment details from eBay so that I can pick up the money.

5. If you will decide that you will not buy the car, eBay will refund the money and I will have the shipping company come pick up my car. If you wish to make the transaction, please send me the necessary info so that we can proceed. I look forward to hear from you.

Thank you!

f*cking greed, and f*cking corruption, as the f*ck off man would say.
having said that there occasionally does be bargains like this, such as my £20 205, great wee car, polished up great, and would have just needed brakes for the mot.
One thing though, would you be happy driving a dead mans car, id think theres something unpleasent about it.
