New Year, New Member

Post by Scaramanga »

Hello all and happy new year. I came across this site today and I think I will soon be a regular poster. Bit of background. I have just taken ownership of a 406 Est Exec from recently deceased step-father-in-law. He loved his car and my mother-in-law asked my wife and I to take care of it. With a 7year old Astra and 1 year old Mazda 6 already, our drive way is going to be getting a bit busy! Anyway, after getting the car running over Xmas through a replacement battery, it cruised the 300 mile trip from the Midlands to Scotland with no major hiccups. There are several things though causing me concern already which I will post topics on in the appropriate sections, hoping that you Pug experts can help me. The car itself is on a Y plate with 101k on the cloock but i have to say, I was very impressed with it's cruising ability on the m-way, very comfortable indeed. All going well, we will punt the Astra and keep the 406.

Whereabouts in Scotland? I'm in Aberdeen, and have a V-reg 1.8 petrol saloon and an 02-plate 2.2 petrol Coupe.

And you'll be wanting rid of the Astra soon enough; the 406 bug will get you good and proper :)
