Intercooler / Radiator alignment?

I was bored after work last night so decided to do a coolent change as i didn't know when the last time it was done.

Anyways got that all done and noticed a fair bit of oil sludge build-up around the rad supports, so i attacked the whole front of the car with degreaser including the rad and intercooler. I then put the garden hose onto the intercooler to was it off and then blast the water through the intercooler into the rad.

I noticed a massive reduction in water flow through the two, I'm wondering if anyone else has thought about trying to line up the two to allow better airflow through them?
