My D9 HDI 110 suffered with a snapped spiring last week that rendered the car immobile and it had to be recovered as it collapsed onto the tyre
Anyway my local breakers has a HDI 90 in, is the strut assembly the same as the 110?
I plan to just change the whole strut
Cheers for any info

Re: Strut assembly HDI 110
my advice would be to replace the spring, as how do you know a second hand one wont colapse while ur driving??

"Understeer" is when you hit the fence with the front of the car.
"Oversteer" is when you hit the fence with the rear of the car.
"Horsepower" is how fast you hit the fence.
"Torque" is how far you take the fence with you.

I *think* they should be the same - Peugeot's parts catalogue is off the air just now so I can't say for sure. Jamjar has a point, how do you know it won't fail too? The best you can do is check the spring for rust as we reckon the break could be caused by cracks developing from rust pits. You should also change both sides as the other spring usually breaks not long after the first

From my experience the only difference has been between petrol and diesel.
I would agree with the other guys, you would be best to replace the springs the cost might not be that different, provided you do the work yourself.

Cheers for all your info/advice chaps
I managed to get a complete strut of a breaking T plate TD and swapped it out, just to get her mobile again, I do plan to change both front springs before the MOT in March
It was a huge pothole that snapped the spring, it rendered the car immobile as the snapped spring came to rest heavily on the tyre

That's the first one I've heard of that was actually moving when it went! Glad you've got it sorted ok.
