windscreen washer tank leaking?

Hi I am completely baffled here. I found last week teh pipe leading to the headlight washer jets had snapped off, so instead of repairing it, i bunged it up with silicone and a bolt as i dont use the headlight washer jets. but for some reason the tank still wont fill up. it will hold about a pint of water in the base then leaks anymore than that out
any thoughts?

hi, you need to remove the wheel arch liner under the bumper and get access to the tank ..
sounds like a pipe has come off of the tank has bust which i doubt it being bust

Or it could be leaking from the washer bottle neck, as the bottle is in two parts, the neck screws on

i dont think it will be the neck, the tank is 6 litres and his is only holding 1 pint

sounds like the pipe has come off on the bottom
