I bought them for the saloon as they're not standard fit on LXs.

I had to snip the bottom end off the needles on the fuel gauge and the water temperature gauge using a pair of nail clippers - they advise you to do that on the fitting guide - and it's fine. The gauges work perfectly, and they don't look like they're damaged in any way.

You really can't tell that they're not factory-fitted unless you happen to know exactly what the OEM ones look like. It's a nice little touch, and highly recommended - it's one of those nice little extras that help to set off and freshen up the interior - like white dials, chrome door handles, Coupe gear knobs, door sill guards, and painting the centre console panels silver.

i was put off the fact i would have to snip the end of the needles, so got the dials out of an 03 car, changed the faces, and front bit to get the chrome ring which has the factory fit quality.
But on the aluminum theme:
http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/SILVER-ALUMINIUM- ... 19c2918b72
it looks quite nice, i was thinking of putting some on the centre console, but round the speedo surround unit would be tricky. But for anyone who dislikes the nice wallnut trim this is the stuff.

I didn't trim the needles
I was just meticulous about making sure the rings sat flush totally at the bottom, and have had no problem at all
