EXPERT HDI TURBO/BOOST PROBLEM

Post by roncex »

hi every one! can any one help me with my expert hdi van?
I have a problem with my turbo/boost which doesnt kickin it is slugish to accelerate or going up the hill. when in still position but left with a running engine for like
half an hour its all running fine as it suppose to be but after couple of miles it starts losing power again. i have changed the filters, new oil, fuel system was cleaned, diagnostic
readings didnt show any problems.

many thanks,

does it smoke ? and how bad if it does ?

could be air trapped in the fuel system .

I've changed several intercooler pipes on the Expert vans, the ones under the engine....look out for any splits in the rubber pipes or cracks in the plastic ones.

It's a common fault with the Expert, the pipes can be expensive as you have to buy the plastic and rubber pipes as a unit.

hi,

thanks for replay, no it doesnt smoke at all, i also have done some research and one option is a maf sensor (also cheaper option). But not really sure where it is
located and apparently on ebay there are few different ones (code numbers) is it matters ?

thanks,

as jasper says (hes a pro)
check the intercooler pipes ..

and yes it will matter which code the maf sensor has. dont buy just any..

make an account on service box. you can enter your vin number and it lists all your parts .

Google = servicebox.peugeot .

you gotta make up a company and VAT number if you dont have, but they dont check :cheesy:
