what size caliper bolts are on the rear of an sri?

i need to change my rear discs and pads tomorrow, what socket do i need to undo the bolts? and are they covered by a rubber cap? as i couldnt find the bolts last time i looked

im quite sure there allen key's or torx

"Oversteer" is when you hit the fence with the rear of the car.
"Horsepower" is how fast you hit the fence.
"Torque" is how far you take the fence with you.

would they undo with an allen key or do i need a socket kit?

doubt ud shift it with a allen key, u'd need a socket with a allen bit, can be bought from halfords on there own.

guess the bolts are covered by rubber cups and covered in dirt, thats why i couldnt find them

anyone know what size allen keY?

i can only find "hex bits" on halfords not allen bits, are they the same fit?

Not done an SRi before, but most caliper bolts with an allen key are 7mm.

The only other size I know of is VW Polo fronts (old models) which are 6mm.

i may aswell just buy the halfords 7mm caliper tool then?

You could if there is plenty of room to get the tool in place.

did the front discs on mine and they were torx (T55) and thread locked in too, so i doubt ya would shift them with just a normal allen key

so fronts are hex and rear are 7mm allen? ill check with my allen key set to check what size it is before i buy any tools

Fronts will be 55 torx as Kev said, but rears are 7mm, at least they are on most cars, check first like you said.

i think the fronts are allen too but everyone seems to use torx as a torx bit is less lightly to slip and round off the bolt.
