Back from vacation :P

Post by MaDc0w »

Just got back from my motorcycle tour. We drove to Holland, Belgium, France, Luxembourg and back.

Had my poor baby at the chop shop for repair work and got the bill.

Changed were:

Timing belt (including 2 rollers)
V-Belt -think that's what it's called- (also including 2 rollers)
Water pump
One of the 3 motor mounts was replaced
And 6l coolant

820€

Oh and I replaced the tires since the cops stopped me and gave me a week to fix it..

4x 195er for 240€

Still badly in the todo list:

4x new brake disks and pads - they've had it!
Stabilisators front AND back are all rattling now..
Wheel bearings on the right side front and back are defective
Hydraulic line from the servo isn't tight or leaks lightly

Those were the red zone needed repairs.

Now the whining ones :cheesy: :
My seat squeeks, that damn air circulation fan under the glove or where ever..., the springs/shocks are annoying soft (but thats normal, just whining lol) I still can't find a local to build me a turbo manifold, Still don't have any summer rims to replace the stollen 17" ones. And to top it off tonight I still hate the 406 fabric seats I have.

But all in all the car drives awesome now... if it would brake and do curves..... :cheesy:

goes back to reading 2 weeks missed posts

We could have a "Whos car actually still runs?" poll :cheesy:

The damn things are getting cheaper and cheaper. At least the scrappies here in this part of Germany are starting to get 406s.... No turbo or exec ones just alot at 97KW STs and rarely a GLX.
