I always use Quartz 9000. It is expensive but its made by Total and sold by Peugeot dealerships. Fully synthetic so great for a Turbo charged engine that runs at extreme temps.

I use Mobil 1 in my Cossie and change it every 2,500 miles. She will be coming out soon as the weather is getting better :D

As long as its semi syntheyic and as long as its 10w 40 it'll do
Thats what it says for diesels in the 406 handbook
Woops-just read that 5w40 is for the 2.2 diesel

:? just been and got some service stuff from the factors and they gave me fully synthetic 5w/40
the manufacturer recommends this but my handbook says only use this on 2.2's strange
on the bay for my car http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/307-1-4-HDI-2-0-H ... 3a5a845a04

it seems everyone on here recommends 10w/40 semi :?:
so what's the answer or am i reading to much into this :)

Interesting about the majority using 10-40 semi synth' on here. I would have thought a 5-40 fully synth' would have been much better on a modern day turbo diesels like the HDI's?
