getting a feed off side lights,

Talk about the 406's electrical system, what wires do what, how to add extra functionality, etc.

Regarding the DRL's you could just scothlock a tapping off the sidelight wiring, (note the left & right are off different fuses).
I thought about this too, but would you want them on with the sidelights? I'd be tempted to go for a separate switch /ignition controlled supply.

i understand you lozz, fog lights might have a better range but if its these which you prefer then they should just be a case of feeding them off the sidelights.
as for the inside your best bet is to take a 12v feed from the battery through THE GROMMET OF MANY WIRES and on ahead in, then your free to work with the 12v supply.

yup iwill patch into the side lights,
as of adding more interior lights ithink iwill have ago at the tow bar wiring some of it runs through the inside of the car anyway so it might be worth a try ..

dont use them blue things, (Are they called scotchlocks) they rust and loose connection. An auto electrician friend of mine told me one time "focking shite dont put them near your car" but i seen some cheap and installed my parking sensors with them, great for a month then they did as he said, lost connection. I ripped them out and got a told you so from my friend.
Solder is the stuff, a bit of heat shrink round it and it makes it a neat job.

as for the interior lights, what do you want to do with them.
i like discussing lighting of the interior

What do iwant to do with them?

not alot realy just after some lighting in the footwells but im going to be using them Led strips and curve them round the sides of the console,
Maybe some other lights will be added in other places after that speaker covers and heater vents possibly if ican find some bulbs or leds that wont cause too much glare,

in the front?
when you remove the speaker grille in the doors, the clips holding them in run along the outside, is that ok.

sussed it !
iwill just use the conection from the ashtray bulb -and the one for the ring thats sposed to light up round the cig lighter,
idont use either of em anyway so it carnt do any harm using them couid it ?
if iuse the Led strips and leds they shouid be- low votage users ishouid think,

hopefully it will save me hacking into the tow bar wiring .
