D9 estate rear tyre wear on the outside
On my d9 Sri estate, the outside of my rear passenger side tyre is wearing real bad.
Any reasons for this?

Re: D9 estate rear tyre wear on the outside
I had uneven rear tyre wear on both rear tyres on my estate, turned out to be the rear tracking. Might be worth a look.

Re: D9 estate rear tyre wear on the outside
I didn't think there was any adjustment in the rear suspension?

this comes up quite often and it appears that there is by rotating a bolt, think its on the drop linksno2lurch wrote:I didn't think there was any adjustment in the rear suspension?
Re: D9 estate rear tyre wear on the outside
I had my nearside rear toplink changed last year
Came a few weeks back and when took wheel off I noticed the inner of the tyre was worn away
What had happened was I wasn't aware of the camber in the bolt and thus it was changed taking no note of this
I would say you have the same problem
Parts 10, 11 and 77 :

Re: D9 estate rear tyre wear on the outside
Yep, you need it 4 wheel laser aligned. I got mine done when I lowered the sispension. On mine, with the bigger wheels, the rear wheels camber in slightly but track straight and true. Unfortunately, it's a catch 22 situation, where Peugeot have made it so the same top link controls both camber and toe.

With standard suspension it should get sorted right?

Re: D9 estate rear tyre wear on the outside
Mine was eating tyres and its wasnt alighnment,
id been putting 33psi in each corner not 36, seems the 406 is a heavy motor,
some taxi drivers have told me there cars go through michelins in under 6mths and to expect heavy tyre wear if you do alot of miles.
My advice to 406 owners is check the tyre preasures are correct,
and rotate the tyres once every 4mth swap front to back to get more life out of them,
oh and avoid NaNkang tyres mine just went thru them for fun
