Hi,
I'ver got a 2001 2.0hdi (90) Estate. Hope not to bore you but here goes with the fault.
Got in the car earlier, went to start it but got immobiliser fault...
I'd not long been driving in very heavy rain.
Checked for any dampness in the footwells, carpet completely dry, no sign off any dampness.
Disconnected the battery for 30 minutes and reconnected.
When I got in the car noticed the battery light was on, key still in my hand not the ignition,
I tried to start it but got immobiliser fault again.
Checked wiring under the dash, can't see anything obvious.
I Closed the door and the battery light went out. Tried the key again. Car started straight away.
Discovered car will start with the door closed but not open, have also noticed with the interior light
set to come on when the doors open that when you open the drivers door it triggers the central
locking if the igition is off.
Any ideas what may be the cause of this.
Thanks in advance for any ideas
Paul.
