Fumes in car

Hi,
Can anyone help with this please,I have a 2001 2.0 HDi and i'm getting diesel fumes in the car(worse with the window open),It's coming from the back of the engine.The exhaust is fine and not leaking and wondered what else to look for,Thanks Mark.

The usual culprit is the flexi section immediately after the turbo = are you sure it's not leaking there - (doesn't necessarily have to be noisy if it leaks a bit)?

Sounds like the flexi to me too, trouble is you have to buy the CAT too :( .

You might try an exhaust place to see if they can weld-in a flexi ? one of these places that do PowAr-flo systems might help.

Don't know if it's of any relevance- but my friend's astra coupe (petrol) had a fume in cabin issue that got worse with the windows open and it was down to the lambda sensor being corroded slightly
