More parts :D

Post by iangt4 »

Just done a deal for new front bumper, bonnet, grills, headlamps & fog lights.... Peugeot dropped me off a new lower cross member (the one the rads sat in), collecting the parts tommorrow from bromsgrove :D
Going to carbon wrap the wood effect in the car and hopefully get the de-frap map in.... another busy weekend :cheesy:

That's an awful lot of front end parts. Was the car accident damaged?

by the look of it some time in the past its been in light front end knock, bumper is cracked, bonnets had a poor repair to the front edge, bracket is broken on the head lamp & fog light. its been poorly repaired. it wasnt bad enough to damage the radiators, but the lower cross member is bent (its not structual, purely there to stop the rads falling out the bottom) and the crumple zones on the chassis ends are in tact and untouched. the car would pass an mot like this, but to me it isnt right, so i will change em all and make it good again

I'll be interested to hear how easy that bottom cross member is to replace. It's one of the few (but still annoying) rusty bits on my car, so if it's easy & cheap to replace, it'll be worth me doing.

That is if I can get all the alternatives out of my head - thinking of having a gander at another Beemer later...
